BACKGROUND HISTORY
Year of Build : 1982
Current Owner : David Turner (since 1997)
Reason for Sale : Owner gone overseas on temporary assignment
Previous Owner : Two previous owners, details on request.
Previous Use : Successful Racing record and supplementary cruising particularly 2003-2007
Phoenix was campaigned successfully on the Clyde prior to becoming the Runner Up in the European Class Championships at Cork in 2006. Won the Scottish Class Championships in 2007, remaining in top 10 of the European Class Champs until 2002 (Class sizes + 70)
Failed starboard shroud plat in 2003 and loss of rig, reinstated by professional repairs, and full rig replacement, coupled with changing family circumstances moved Phoenix to cruising mode in 2004. She has however, remained race ready and could easily be moved back to that mode.
She has been continuously upgraded and extensively cruised, completing a family outer Hebrides cruise in summer of 2007. There remains to be an extensive suite of sails, a dinghy, outboard and electronic navigation system. The full Inventory List is below.
